Who we are
The journey began in 1998 when entrepreneur and Engineer Nidal Al-Sarabi, founded Gerasa Engineering Corporation for Building Specialties in Amman, the capital of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Ever since, Gerasa has been supplying the Jordanian market with top notch and high quality building products which include: waterproofing materials for buildings, water tanks and swimming pools, tile and ceramic adhesives and grouts, in addition to metallic and PVC building profiles that are used as accessories for ceramics, porcelain, marble, concrete, and wooden surfaces.
Throughout its years in operation, Gerasa continued to grow and impose a strong market presence one year after another. Gerasa made sure it only dealt with high quality products, and thus; started importing materials from the world’s most elite European corporations. Thus; Gerasa started marketing the Italian Mapei products. Mapei is a pioneer and a world leader in the production of adhesives and complementary products for the installation of all types of floor and wall coverings, not to mention the other chemical products for building, including: waterproofing, protective and decorative wall coatings, concrete admixtures, thermal insulation and underground construction. Gerasa did not stop there, rather proceeded forward, and started importing and marketing Profilpas products. Profilpas is a major Italian manufacturer of a wide variety of metal and PVC profiles for the laying of floors and wall coverings in ceramic tile, marble, carpet, parquet and laminate.
Gerasa’s impressive yet humble growth, required bigger space and a bigger showroom. Consequently, Engineer Nidal Al-Sarabi decided to build an entire complex solely dedicated to Gerasa and its wide range of products. In 2009 Gerasa moved to its brand new 700 square meter showroom located in Um Al Summaq, Western Amman. Today, Gerasa’s clients enjoy shopping in one of the most comfortable and spacious specialized showrooms in town. Shortly after the expansion, Gerasa added EuroShrink products to its existing portfolio range. EuroShrink is an excellent Spanish manufacturer of PVC, aluminum, stainless steel, and wooden profiles for construction, shipbuilding, decoration and furniture. Gerasa additionally increased its scope of work and importing products from numerous European companies including Diasen (Italy), Faber Chimica (Italy), and Heskins (The United Kingdom).
In the course of its work, which has grown significantly over the years, Gerasa has been keen to import high quality materials from major international European companies, until it become a reference for engineering consultancy in the field of insulation and building materials. Gerasa always ensures to meet the needs of its customers by providing them with valuable information to help solve insulation problems, in addition to providing them with recommendations on which materials to use for the installation of different types of ceramics. Gerasa helps customers in selecting and coordinating the types and colors of grouts depending on the types of ceramics and tiles being used for each project. Finally, it is worthy to note that Gerasa is flexible to customize product orders from any of the above brands, depending on the customer’s project needs.
